A witness who says he was part of a death squad has charged that now-Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte ordered killings of criminals and political rivals when he was the mayor of Davao City, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
Edgar Matobato, 57, made his comments during a televised Senate committee hearing on Thursday. Duterte was mayor of the city for more than two decades, reported the BBC.
