Foreign Minister Resigns Over Government's Failure To Implement Reforms

Lebanese Foreign Minister Nassif Hitti has resigned, citing the government's inability to implement needed structural reforms, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).

On Monday, Hitti submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Hassan Diab, warning that Lebanon risked becoming a failed state. Diab accepted the resignation "on the spot," the prime minister's office said.
