Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has asked Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida to temporarily take on the defense portfolio after Defense Minister Tomomi Inada announced her resignation on Friday, reports the Japan Times.
Kishida will combine the two positions, noted the BBC.
