The Australian government has offered to send special operations personnel to train and advise the Philippine military in its fight against the Islamic State, reports the Australian Associated Press.
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday that she had made the offer to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte in Manila earlier this month.
