A top Chinese diplomat has met with the leader of Libya’s rebel opposition in Beijing, reports the New York Times.
Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi called the Libyan opposition "an important dialogue partner."
Mahmoud Jibril, the chairman of the executive board of the Libyan opposition's National Transitional Council, is in China for two days.
