Following Upgrade, Trenchant Sub Returns To Service

HMS Trenchant, a Trafalgar-class attack submarine, has returned to active service in the Royal Navy after completing a refit, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
The submarine underwent maintenance and upgrading at the Devonport submarine refit complex in late 2009, receiving significant improvements to her sonar suite and Tomahawk cruise missile capability.
The submarine was officially welcomed back into service during a ceremony on Friday.
