Following Refit, Richmond Starts Sea Trials

A British Type 23 frigate has completed refitting on schedule and within the budget, reports Babcock International.

HMS Richmond left the Devonport Royal Dockyard on Tuesday to start sea trials, according to a company release.

The refit program involved a number of important capability upgrades, plus extensive outer bottom hull repair and preservation work, said officials from the shipbuilder.

The ship will re-enter service this summer, said naval officials.
