The Pentagon hopes to be able to hold multinational search-and-rescue exercises in the Arctic, Defense News reports.
In May, the U.S., Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia and Sweden signed an agreement calling for cooperation and aeronautical search-and-rescue coverage across the 13 million-square-mile Arctic region.
