Following Engine Fire, L-39 Jets Grounded

An engine failure has led to the grounding of the Czech army's L-39 Albatros light aircraft, reports the Czech Position.
The decision followed a probe that concluded that an engine fire was at fault for a failure that forced a pilot to eject in December 2010.
Five of the service's nine L-39s will be immediately removed from service, and the remainder will only be used for basic training after thorough engine overhauls, said the army.
