Following Abdullah's Death, New King Salman Names Son As Defense Minister

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has died, reports Al Arabiya (Dubai).
Abdullah, around 90 years old, had been suffering from a lung infection before his death early Friday, local time, reported the BBC.
The Saudi royal court announced on Friday that Salman bin Abdulaziz will become the nation's king.
Salman, a half-brother of the late monarch, pledged to maintain existing energy and foreign policies and moved to appoint heirs, settling future succession, reported Reuters....
