A Russian air force attack aircraft has crashed in the Khabarovsk territory in Russia's Far East, reports Interfax-AVN.
The Su-24M attack aircraft went down on Monday while taking off for a routine training flight, said a release from the Defense Ministry. Both pilots onboard the aircraft were killed.
The jet accelerated as expected, but then banked left sharply and hit the ground, the ministry said.
The air force has grounded its Su-24 fleet pending an investigation.
