In A First, German Frigate Joins U.S. Carrier Group

A German frigate has been integrated into a U.S. Navy carrier group for the first time, reports Deutsche Welle.
The Hessen (F-221) will join the Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) battle group during a deployment to the Mediterranean and Horn of Africa.
The joint mission is designed to boost relations between the two nations and improve naval cooperation, officials said.
