Firebird Tests Sensor Systems Simultaneously

Northrop Grumman says it has successfully tested the simultaneous use of three different video cameras and an electronics support payload onboard its new Firebird optionally manned aerial system.
The test flight on May 20 at Fort Huachua, Ariz., marked the first time three electro-optical, infrared sensors have been used simultaneously with a fourth payload on an aircraft, according to a company release.
