Fire Put Out On Landing Ship Near Sydney

An Australian navy amphibious transport caught fire on Tuesday near Sydney Heads, the entrance to Port Jackson, causing it to lose power for a short time, reports the Australian.

The fire aboard HMAS Kanimbla was quickly brought under control with no casualties, according to the Dept. of Defense.

When power the power went out as the fire was being extinguished, the amphib began to drift towards North Head, said officials.
