Finland’s plans to join NATO are a threat to Russia, according to a Kremlin spokesman cited by Russia’s state-owned Tass news agency. The continued expansion of the Atlantic alliance does not make the Eurasian continent more stable or safe, the spokesman told reporters on Thursday. Finnish NATO membership will require analysis to develop an appropriate response to ensure Russian security, he said.
