The last of the former under-age fighters who were aligned with the Maoist forces during Nepal's decade-long civil war have been discharged and returned to civilian life, reports the U.N. News Service.
The 268 individuals who were released on Monday during a ceremony in Rolpa included those who had joined the Maoist army as minors and as late recruits. They remained in temporary camps for three years after the signing of the peace deal that ended the conflict.
