Fighting Spreads Near Tigray As Gov. Offensive Looms

Fighting has resumed in northern Ethiopia's Afar region following a one-month pause, reports Agence France-Presse.

On Wednesday, fresh violence was reported in Awra, located in the region's Fenti zone, said humanitarian sources. 

During the violence, the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) used heavy weapons that killed numerous civilians, said the sources.
