With Fighting Picking Up, Government Denies S. Sudan Shot Down MiG

There are conflicting claims of a plane being shot down on the border between Sudan and South Sudan as violence escalates between the neighbors.
The Sudanese government denied it lost a fighter jet to South Sudanese anti-aircraft fire, reports CNN.
South Sudan said on Wednesday it had shot down a Sudanese MiG-29 fighter dispatched to bomb oil fields in the Pan Akuac region of Unity state.
The government in Juba also accused Khartoum of warmongering.
