Fighting between Turkish and Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria has continued despite a cease-fire agreed between the U.S. and Turkey, reports NBC News.
On Friday, gunfire, grenades and mortars were heard in the border town of Ras Al Ain, although it was not clear who was responsible.
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that Turkish forces had not halted their assault.
Cross-border artillery and airstrikes appeared to have stopped, the news service said.
