Pakistani militants have been involved in a pair of kidnapping incidents in the Pashtun tribal region of Kurram.
Militants disguised as police officers kidnapped 25 people, including women and children, on Saturday, the BBC reports.
The insurgents ambushed a multi-vehicle convoy to Parachinar, Kurram's main city, said officials.
Eighteen people were freed on Sunday, and five more on Monday, officials said. Talks are said to be ongoing for the other two hostages.
