The Danish air force has ceased training new fighter pilots after deciding to reduce its F-16 fleet, reports the Copenhagen Post.
Twelve pilot recruits who were slated to travel to the U.S. for fighter pilot training have just had their training programs ended.
The cadets had already completed basic flight and officer training. They are now expected to move into ground billets, such as radar operators, Danish officials said.
