The Israeli air force said it struck four targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday in areas believed to have been used to launch rockets into Israel, the Jerusalem Post reports.
The airstrikes were called retaliation for earlier clashes between Israeli troops and militants on the Gaza border, as well as mortars and rockets launched from Gaza.
Two Israeli soldiers were reportedly wounded by mortar fire and taken to a nearby hospital.
