Fighter Deal With India To Be Finalized In Early 2009

Russia and India are scheduled to sign an agreement early next year to develop a fifth-generation fighter, RIA Novosti reports.
The advanced multirole fighter is being developed by the Sukhoi company in Russia and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) in India.
Both single-seat and dual-seat versions are being developed, a Russian industry spokesman said.
