The Czech Defense Ministry says it hopes to deploy a small medical unit to Iraq, reports the Czech News Agency.
The plan, which may include a field surgical team with around 15 personnel, will be submitted to the government for approval in the near future, said Defense Minister Martin Stropnicky on Tuesday.
The Czech team would be based at the U.S. Navy hospital around 40 miles (70 km) south of Mosul to treat wounded Iraqi and allied soldiers, the minister said.
