Fewer Than 1,000 Troops To Remain In Syria, Says JCS Chief

Gen Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, says that the number of U.S. troops remaining in Syria will not exceed 1,000, reports ABC News.

The number of troops will likely be between 500 and 1,000, Milley said during the weekly news program, This Week.

U.S. troops will continue to work to defeat ISIS in Syria, he said.
