Females To Serve On Royal Navy Subs

The British Royal Navy has decided to allow women to serve aboard its nuclear submarines, reports the Daily Mail (U.K.).
The decision followed a report that concluded that living aboard the nuclear boats would not adversely affect pregnant women.
The first female submariners are expected to be five officers who will serve aboard one of the Vanguard-class ballistic missile subs. The first will probably serve in 2012.
