Female fighters were among the 14 Al-Qaida militants killed in a U.S. special operations raid in Yemen over the weekend, the Pentagon said on Monday, as reported by the New York Times.
The intelligence-gathering operation against Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) on Sunday left one member of the U.S. SEALs dead. There were some reports of innocent civilian casualties, noted the Military Times.
