Twelve Mexican federal police officers were ambushed and killed by suspected drug-traffickers in the western state of Michoacan, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The drug cartel La Familia is believed behind the attack in the city of Zitacuaro, about three hours from the capital.
The gunmen used a flaming bus to block the police convoy, then attacked the officers, reported the New York Daily News.
