With protests growing in Kashmir, the Indian government has ordered nearly 2,000 more paramilitaries to help quell violence in the disputed area, reports the Christian Science Monitor.
In addition to the 19 companies (about 1,900 men) being deployed, another 3,200 paramilitaries already in the region will be moved to the centers of the unrest, officials said.
On Tuesday, four more people were killed during a protest march in Srinigar.
