Fabrication Begins On Future Higbee Guided-Missile Destroyer

Huntington Ingalls Industries has announced the start of fabrication for the new Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer Lenah H. Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG-123) at its shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss.

The milestone, marking the cutting of the first 100 tons of steel for the ship, was reached on Jan. 25, the company said in a release.
