F-35 Jets, Munitions Sought From U.S.

The U.S. State Department has approved a potential sale of advanced fighter jets and munitions to Germany under the Foreign Military Sales program, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The proposed US$8.4 billion deal covers 35 F-35A conventional-takeoff-and-landing jets; 37 Pratt & Whitney F135-PW-100 engines (two spares); a variety of air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions; and associated equipment and technical and logistics support.
