F-16 Forced To Jettison Bombs, Fuel Tanks On Hill AFB

An F-16 fighter pilot with the 388th Fighter Wing was forced to jettison munitions and two external fuel tanks onto an uninhabited area of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, on Thursday, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
The pilot before landed safely after "an in-flight emergency." No one was injured in the incident.
Two 500-pound bombs and other munitions were dropped less than 2,500 feet to the east of Interstate 15, forcing traffic to a crawl.
