Taiwan has grounded its fleet of F-16 fighter jets after one of the aircraft crashed earlier this week, reports CNN.
On Wednesday, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen announced that the jets would be grounded pending an investigation into the loss of the aircraft.
The F-16 went down on Tuesday off the east coast of Taiwan.
The Taiwanese air force’s Ching-Kuo fighters will take over F-16 missions until the jets return to flight, reported the South China Morning Post.
