F-15C Aircraft From La., Fla. National Guards Take Part In NATO Air Surveillance Mission

The U.S. Air Force has sent six F-15C Eagle fighter jets to Iceland as part of a NATO air surveillance mission, reports the Air Force Times.

The aircraft, provided by the Florida and Louisiana Air National Guard, arrived on Aug. 23 in Keflavik, according to the U.S. European Command.

Training during the deployment will include aerial refueling from KC-135 Stratotanker and KC-10 tanker aircraft.
