A series of explosions has been heard in northern Nigeria, reports the Vanguard (Nigeria).
According to witnesses on Tuesday, attackers shot and bombed a police station in Dala, Kano state. The fighting then reportedly spread to the Sharada region.
Separately, a government building in the Sabon Fegi area of Damaturu was also hit by an explosion on Tuesday, said security officials.
The government has blamed similar attacks on the Boko Haram Islamist group.
