Explosion Rocks Tyre Restaurant

April 23 2012

Lebanon

Five people have been hurt in a restaurant bombing in Tyre, Lebanon, reports UPI.

The blast on Sunday also caused some damage, said police.

Police speculated that a possible motive might be that the restaurant served alcohol.

Alcohol is not illegal in Tyre, but Hezbollah forbids it in its territory that it controls.

There have been several bombings of alcohol-serving establishments in the region, noted Reuters.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
