Explosion Damages Tanker South Of Hormuz

There was an explosion Wednesday on a Japanese oil tanker south of the Strait of Hormuz near Oman, Bloomberg News reports.
The vessel, M. Star, suffered an explosion that "may have been caused by an external attack," according to ship owner Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. One of the 31 crew members was slightly injured.
The ship is en route to the United Arab Emirates to assess the damage. No oil is leaking, said Mitsui.
