The head of NATO says linking together European missile defense systems would cost around 200 million euros ($250 million) over 10 years, Agence France-Presse reports.
In light of the growing threat from Iran, for example,, the investment is worth the price, NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said.
While NATO is developing a missile shield to protect soldiers on operations, Rasmussen said he also wants to extend that protection to civilians.
