As Expected, No Progress Noted In Siachen Glacier Talks

India and Pakistan have announced no breakthrough in talks over ending the military standoff on the Siachen Glacier, reports the Press Trust of India.

Indian Defense Secretary Shashikant Sharma led a delegation this week to Islamabad for two days of talks.

Both nations predictably stuck to their positions, noted India's Samaylive. A joint statement issued Tuesday committed both to "serious, sustained and result-oriented efforts for seeking an amicable resolution of Siachen." ...
