Ex-General Sentenced For Corruption; Death Penalty Suspended

A former Chinese general has been given what amounts to a life sentence for corruption, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.

The court punishment is technically a death sentence that is suspended for two years, which generally means it is commuted to life after two years of good behavior, noted the Wall Street Journal.
