European Defense Ministers Consider "Military Schengen," More Defense Cooperation

A group of European Union member states have proposed a project to simplify the transfer of military forces around Europe, reports the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

During an E.U. defense ministers meeting last week in Tallinn, Estonia, officials discussed new initiatives and areas for practical cooperation.

A joint session with the E.U. foreign ministers covered the development of Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) and the creation of a European defense fund.
