The European Union has delayed deploying its police mission to Kosovo by a week, reports the E.U. Observer.
Pushing back the launch of EULEX to Dec. 9 followed protests by several thousand Kosovo Albanian demonstrators in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
The U.N. last week approved the mission, which will include about 2,000 E.U. police, justice and customs officials.
