E.U. Mission Seizes Ship Carrying Illegal Cargo

The European Union naval mission in the Mediterranean Sea has seized a cargo vessel suspected of carrying arms to Libya in violation of a U.N. embargo, reports the E.U. Naval Force Mediterranean (EUNAVFOR MED).

On Monday, the Italian frigate Grecale conducted an inspection of MV Victory Roro off the coast of Libya. The ship, flying under the Equatorial Guinean flag, has long been suspected of illegally transporting military equipment to Libya.
