Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has recused himself from the Pentagon’s cloud services competition over family links to a former bidder, reports Tech Crunch. Esper removed himself from the decision-making process for the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract because his son, Luke Esper, works at former bidder IBM, a Pentagon spokesperson said Tuesday.
