President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the beginning of military operations against ISIS militants and Kurdish groups in northeastern Syria, reports the Daily Sabah (Istanbul).
On Wednesday, Erdogan said on social media that the goal was to destroy the "terror corridor" along the border and bring peace to region.
The "Peace Spring" operation will eliminate terrorist threats and enable Syrian refugees to return to their country, he said.
