Enlisted Airmen To Be Included In Training Program, With Potential To Fly Combat Aircraft

The U.S. Air Force has begun a new training program that may result in enlisted airmen flying combat aircraft, reports Air Force Times.
The commander of the Second Air Force, Maj. Gen. Timothy Leahy, said in a Nov. 30 email that 15 officers and five enlisted airmen will be selected for a six-month training program.
Successful candidates will become students and successful candidates will take solo flights in T-6 trainers, the general wrote.
