The Japanese government does not expect Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to meet a March deadline to deliver an initial ATD-X test aircraft, according to sources cited by the Kyodo news agency.
The company still needs to verify how to restart the aircraft's engine if it shuts down in flight, said the unnamed government sources on Tuesday.
