Emir Agrees To Buy 12 More Rafale Fighters, Armored Vehicles From France

Qatar has agreed to buy fighter jets and armored vehicles from France, reports Bloomberg News.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Qatar's ruling Emir, signed contracts on Thursday for deals estimated at 12 billion euros (US$14.14 billion).

The contracts cover 12 Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation and 490 VBCI armored vehicles from the state-owned armaments company Nexter, in addition to civilian train and passenger aircraft.
