Thailand has extended its state of emergency, citing the possibility of renewed violence, the Voice of America News reports.
The emergency decree will be extended by three months in 18 of Thailand's 76 provinces, as well as Bangkok, said the government. The decree was lifted in five provinces.
The emergency decree suspends some civil liberties, imposes censorship and authorizes the government to use the military to keep the peace.
