Colombia's ELN rebel group says it has proposed a three-month cease-fire during its peace talks with the government, reports Reuters.
A new round of talks began in Ecuador this week between the ELN and the government.
A ELN negotiator said on Tuesday that the rebel group offered a temporary bilateral cease-fire to build trust and "alleviate the civilian population."
